Proper use of Boost Control Gain on Procede
So this is from my other thread over @ http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=722784 where shiv recommends raising BCG for a pinned +5% Wastegate Compensation value.

If the original post was erroneous I haven't seen it corrected anywhere, should the other thread be corrected to avoid people ruining their boost targeting? |

Good point......
IIRC didn't Joshboody post in another thread that he upped his boost control gain all the way to 100 to prevent boost overshoot after gear changes. |

Boost control gain is a multipler to the base wg table. 50 is table as is. Value below 50 is percentage decreased across the table... Value above is increased %. Is you max wg comp at 5% increase your gain.
I actually like a maxed gain of 5% to reduce overshoot... But only minimally. If you increase or decrease gain, reset wg comp in the cruise control menu thingy. Ilma you're thinking of boost response... I may have mistyped somewhere. |

I was wondering because my boost recovery after a shift is perfect at gain = 50. No oscillations at all. But thanks for the exlanation. Sounds about right applying a percent increase/decrease across the WG duty cycle table. |
