Stick to racing cars, some unsuspecting M3s, RS4s + non-turbo'd Porsches
i know quite a few 500-600whp civics that walk 600's and beat most liter bikes out there

EG/EF Honda civics are also extremely lightweight. The average gutted EF hatch probably weighs 2,000lbs.

Probably less than that

but its not hard to be faster than a bike, nor is it expensive

but to beat a bike and still be in a comfortable car is where it gets expensive and hard to achieve

It basically looks slightly more badass, there are some some minor engine revisions, and vitally, has a steering dampner mount that can save your life if you hit a bump unexpectedly at speed/WOT. Regardless, since you're likely to get hit pretty hard with the mod bug anyway (given your track record) you might as well start with the base model.

Even my 80hp monster could smoke just about anything off the line. When it comes to to corners though, it's all about experience and the sheer size of your balls.

Nope not comfortable by our standards. For just the price of just the Vishnu single turbo kit I could build an EG hatch that would absolutely walk away from a single turbo N54 in any situation. However, it would be a gutted rattle trap with no AC, radio, carpet or passenger seats.

It all about what you want out of your car. If you want the flat out fastest street car in town you bought the wrong car.

If you want a really fun, comfortable car that will really surprise people then the N54 platform is probably the best platform to have right now.

I've beaten a few smaller displacement street bikes (~600cc), and hung really close with a few more. I almost always get the thumbs up. Once I hit about 100, I normally start to real in/pull away a bit. They don't usually expect me to give them such a run for it. Obviously, I'd get destroyed by a larger bike, but I haven't come up against any yet.

a stock 600cc bike with a good rider rung high 10's at about 130mph and a 1000cc will do it in 9's at 145mph+

your going to need at least 600whp in your 3,500lbs BMW to keep up with a stock 600cc bike.
