Estimate Damage Cost

Hello,

Unfortunately my car was hit and I am trying to estimate the damage.
I'm taking it in tomorrow for service, and trying to get an idea on the cost it should be to fix. Do you think any of the panels will have to be replaced or dent and paint work should be enough to fix the damage?

Insurance is covering but trying to get an idea of what it will cost.
Appreciate your input.

Reggie

Most likely new door and a quarter panel from what I see. For parts and labor I would say damage is right around 4 grand.

why ask a bunch of detailing people?

do to 4 different body shops, look at their finished work, and their in progress work and decide which shop you feel comfortable with and have have them do the work

If I am in OC and say its 3 grand, that guy in NY says 4 grand and someone in FL says 800 bucks, how are you going to get a ballpark. Not to mention, we are not adjusters, bodyshop workers, and dont have the ability to assess damages we cant see like things under the car, wheels, alignment, etc

went to a reputed auto rebuilder in the Chicago area today, estimated cost was 4600 with labor.
Quarter panel and new door replacements are the main cost.
I am sure I could go to a couple shops around the area but I don't have the kind of time.
One of the shops could probably try to straighten this out but replacment looks like the better option.
Was trying to sell this too! I plan on getting it back into shape and then letting it go.
