I have the service soon message with the yellow triangle for my cabin filter. Obviously the software hasn't been updated, because there should no longer be a service message for the cabin filter. Prior to the message I was noticing the moldy smell coming from A/C on start. BMW used to recommend changing the CF every 30k mi. but now recommends 15k. My current warning says 60k and 7/2012. My car has 64k miles on it already. 2 questions. Why does the warning say 60k when it should show how many mi. left until service? And how do I reset the next service warning to be in 15k miles?

I usually reset it and change the cf at a later date like in the spring instead of doin it in the winter. To reset theres a video on youtube, search E90 service reset, that should get ya the video

Thanks. I'll check for the video on the reset. I just changed it. I'm at 17k on the old filter so it was due.
