The thing with Halfrauds I find for anything like this is it's so 'hit and miss'. You may get the bloke who knows what he is doing and has perhaps even changed bulbs in your type of car before and does it in 10 mins, or you get the 'monkey' who in his 45 minute attempt to change the bulb leaves a trail of devistation, badly fitted covers, lose wires and all the rest.

Ooops - perhaps I'm getting it mixed up with the job being done by an unsupervised apprentice at a BMW dealers at £120 an hour!

I think that's right.

In my case I don't think he'd done it before as he didn't know about the wheel arch flat. But, he had and interesting technique - On the right hand side he lent across the wing with his left arm in the hatch but with his head over the engine bay so he could see what he was doing.

Everything I've read so far said that if you go in via the hatch you have to do it blind, but it would appear that's not the case..

Went for the Halfords Extream Brilliance bulbs (up to 90% brighter). They look very bright in the day so I'll be interested to see what night time driving is like.
