Cleaning alloys

Just cleaned alloys after claying a week ago, just using soap and water dirt came off with great ease. Will try to keep this frequency up if all it takes 30 mins max for 4 wheels.

sorry for my ignorance but "claying" please explain. Cleaning wheels is a pain in the ar5e and if this helps I will have to do it.

Thanks in advance

Claying is the use of a clay bar and lubricant to remove particles embeded into the paint surface leaving the surface smooth and clean. This is normaly done on the cars painted surface but can be done on any painted surface. I found even after cleaning the wheels I was left with small black specs which were embeded into the wheel surface. A quick spray with quick detailing wax and clay bar removed this contamination leaving the surface very smooth with a wax coating ready for buffing. As stated after a week of use cleaned wheels which were black again with very little effort. Lots say sealing wheels with a wax aids cleaning but having done this before I find this latest method has great results.
