Heavy Diesel leak. E90 lci

Hi there guys I was at my local shopping centre and it was really busy. And I could smell fuel and the car switched off. And the fuel filter light came on when I tired to turn it on.

And some one help me push the car in the bay.

The car park was covered in diesel. I told the shopping centre what happen and the diesel on the road, I didn't want any one to slip or fall. So they closed of most of the car park.

I only when to buy a Xbox game haha.

I called up BMW emergency service. Had a nice chat with the dude at call centre as he lived in my area.

He said he was sending out a technician. But that didn't happen I don't think BMW technician work on a Sunday. So a recovery truck came and recovered the car to my house.

Has any one else had this fuel leak problem?

Does any one know why this could of happen?

The car don't start now.

Thank you

Fuel tank leak?

That's the only way I can see that fuel will just drop out under gravity.

Is it a plastic tank?

Someone could have drilled it to get the fuel out!

For some reason, this has conjured up an image of two women, in bikinis, wrestling in diesel oil.

The problem was that the pipe that fits on the diesel fillter split. It was a faulty part
