2006 330xi speaker crackle
So when I listen to talk radio or am using the Bluetooth for the phone, the voices sometimes crackle in the speakers. And it only happens sometimes. Anyone else have this problem? I don't notice it if I'm listening to music.

I've heard of the speaker in the center of the dash by the windshield blowing out. Try and find out which speaker is crackling. You can download a frequency application for a cellphone and use an aux cable to find what frequency causes the noise, and then play that frequency and find where the noise is coming from. Best of luck ![]() |

So I used the frequency generator this morning. I went from 100mhz to 3600mhz which is the human voice range and found no crackling. But as soon as I made a call and the person's voice was coming through the car speakers I heard it. Very aggravating. I also reset all my EQ, bass and treble back to factory settings and it did not help.

Mine made crackle noise when I was listening music, then a pop sound like a gunshot. found out my amp ( L7 ) was going bad. If you have L7 amp check to see if fans running when its hot.

So I took out the center speaker today and when I press on the cone a little I can see where the adhesive has let go between the cone and diaphragm in a few places. Looks like the buzzing is caused by that and root cause is old speakers. I'm guessing the center speaker gets baked a lot by the sun and is the reason for the adhesive failing but who knows.
