I decided to take the plunge and bought all the detail equipment I thought I needed to correct the paint on my 2007 335. Detailed in the following in order:

Wash and Dry
Clay Bar
Poorboys World SR2.5 on orange pad
Poorboys World SR1 on white pad
Poorboys Black Hole Glaze on black finishing pad
Jet Seal 109 1 Coat Applied by hand and machined buffed with micro fiber pad.

I went over parts of the car that I thought needed more attention with the 2.5.

I unfortunately did not have the right lighting equipment so I was not able to see the fruits of my labor as i was polishing. I did take it outside a few times to give it a look down.

I knowingly proceeded on the SR1 knowing I still had a degree of fine scratches. I reasoned this out of my inexperience thinking the glaze and sealant would help fill in the remaining scratches.

I don’t have a good close up pic of the paint but i would have to say my car looks great from 2 feet away but if you get real close you can still see a few scratches here and there.

The other flaw in my work that is bothering me was machine buffing of the jet seal 109. I believe this has given the car a hologram look. If anybody else has had these issues or think im off base please chime in!

I use jetseal almost exclusively. I never experienced what you had described. I apply jetseal mostly with a DA but I never buff the car with it. The only thing I would do differently would be to apply the glaze by hand and use a finishing pad to apply the sealant. I like to do my corrections with MF pads and finish down with foam. I have better results going this route. By the way, what speed did you use with the Jetseal and MF pad combination??? I assume you are using MF polishing pads and not the cutting pads.

I did not know we were supposed to buff sealants. I thought you just apply then wipe off in time alloted

You're defeating your purpose using glaze. Glaze is a cosmetic compound that is used to hide scratches and swirls. It won't do much for holograms either. The effect is gone after a few washes.

So if you polished and glazed, you pretty much hid what you missed. I use Meg. 105 and Menzerna SIP. Seal with Menzerna Powerlock. Pads: Yellow with Meg, Orange with SIP and Blue or Black with Powerlock. For optimum seal, I wax 24 hrs after applying sealant. Use a DA like Porter Cable or a Flex.

And No, you don't buff sealants.

I specialize on black exteriors. It's a hobby....
