6MT here, and some of the reasoning behind it is to avoid that dreaded torque intervention by ignition after shifting even with it deselected. I seem to avoid it by shifting at about 6100 - any higher and I usually flatline it. I'm running so little boost between 6-7krmp too, where at your elevation you may not be tapering so hard?

Why are you flatlining on e85? Especially with a 6mt?

I'm tapering pretty bad...from 16-17psi down to 13-14psi. But so far I didn't get faster by shifting sooner so I stuck with my old 7000,6800,6500 pattern and the standard Cobb 7200 rev limit points. This tune is so different than the last time I was at the track I'll probably need to try different shift points again in case things have changed. It still feels very good to redline compared to stock, though. All that extra timing up top really gives it a different feel as you approach redline.

On another note do you feel a sudden surge in power during that transition?
It needs work, but remember the timing spool map is active below a setpoint (2500 for me) and I left those areas of the map relatively untouched as I assume it was/is some logic to spool the turbos more quickly. Besides, the actual load I log at 2500 rpm is 90-100, so I'm in another geographical region of the map. You're focusing on the 180 load column which I'm not in at that RPM.

Not sure. It's not an octane issue, it's some torque limit artifact. I've played around with the "disable torque intervention by ign" toggle, seems to clear up 95% of the issue but I've flatlined on 3-4 shifts when shifting above 6500krpm.

If I granny shift, I never flatline.

Same here. If i make an effort to shift just a hair shorter i don't flatline. Something i've noticed is i dont let out of the throttle like i should when i try to shift like a hero, so mine may(probably) be driver error.
