5-23 User settings
Im starting this thread to see what people are changing their user setting to in the procede. This might be helpful to some people who are not very knowledgeable (myself included) and are not sure what setting to adjust too.
As we are all aware there are the standard setting that Vishnu suggests we use, but in the real world not all things are equal. Some of us have access to 93oct where as other are 91oct. With the suggested settings I believe that these are best set for the use of 91oct. Lets help each other out and making Slight changes, to increase boost, traction and overall performance. If you can please specify what version e.g. V5 rev 2.5, with or without meth, mods etc....and if you would like maybe some dyno numbers with those settings for fun. |

Great idea. I am interested as well. I have 2.5v5 bone stock and have left the default settings but I feel I may need to tone down something because I am getting what feels like post shift timing drop.

These topics have been well discussed.
It's probably best to learn how the map transitioning works on the procede before tinkering too much with the intricates. With boost espically, you want to stay within the confines of the stock compressor so as not to wear them out prematurely. Since the procede has full control over the turbos, the DME wont intervene to save you. IGN and fuel are just transitions between two tables as well. Start by reading the Procede Tuning 101 thread that was created about a year ago to get an idea of how it works. |

Tuz, thanks for the input. But like myself and many others I have read the 101 tuning thread. And while it is in black and white and I do understand some of it, but not everything is what you would call exactly clear. I am just starting this thread with the hopes that the others that are more well versed with the more complicated functionalities can offer some great insight and or slight changes to achieve better results than the suggested settings.
With that being said, the settings suggested by Vishnu are based upon the use of 91oct. Not everyone is limited by the use of lower octanes (myself included) and have better octane right at the pump. I guess with me starting this thread I was hoping to get some great insight and make this a learning thread for myself and others that somewhat know about the procede but wouldn't mind learning a little more. There are countless threads with many people pushing the stock turbos to 18-19psi (with meth) without any ill effects, and many achieve very nice numbers at the wheel. Recently I had my car dynoed and while my numbers where good (386whp and 440wtq on a dynojet) they where not all I was hoping for. I have seen MANY procede users with less mods achieve 410+whp whith just dci and methanol. Maybe my thoughts/ideas were just too simple to ask....that being said thanks for the help anyway. Hopefully we can turn this thread into a learning tool HELPING people tweak their user settings to achieve the goals that each individual would like! |
