So today I pull out of my driveway and my 07 328i won't change into second gear. Then I get a gear looking symbol with an exclamation point in the center of it on the dash electronic display. Well, the tow truck came and it's now at the dealership. Anyone have any ideas or stories to share??

I got that today in my 335i? I guess I will be taken a drive to BMW of Austin unless I have to get it towed up there. What did the dealership tell it was?

That's it. And this came out of the blue. No slipping of gears, nothing. But I'm very very happy with it. It's my first BMW and I'm definitely sold. If I didn't have the extended warrantee I would probably in a psych ward right now. 7,000.00 would make anyone crazy.

i hear you. psych ward right in the seclusion room would best describe it! 7k is alot of money! the only thing that i had the dealership replaced was the driver side mirror moving when unlocking and locking doors. it was annoying but other than that its been great for about 3 months of owning my 328i thanks man

Dang it, I need to take my car to the dealership. My car drives and feels fine, but again it doesn't mean anything. I hope its not the tranny!.

Wait, I am still trying to stomach this, lol. Is that what they told you? That the tranny will have to be replaced. I spoke to the Advisor at BMW and he told me otherwise, even though its very uncommon problem. I am headed to BMW of Austin today as a matter of fact. I just don't see how that could be, but hey its possible. The good news is that I already have a tranny just in case. That's crazy and so far denial is setting in. LMAO
