Thanks for the correction, I had a feeling it was a little too flat to be MCB. Never seen this color before. Avus was my favorite color in there, it looked amazing.

Wow! Haven't seen a BMW painted in Byzanz since the E36 M3 sedan. It used to be a color that they wouldn't paint. What's next, Daytona Violet?!!! Please?

The Welt had an M3 in Lipstick. I took about 10 photos but couldn't for the life of me capture the color.

I don't remember the E36 M3 in the Avus. I googled it. Very nice! Was that in individual color back then?

I loved the Estoril Blue that was available in the '99 M3. I am boring and chose the Arctic Silver with Grey leather for mine back then.

Really wanted a Dakar Yellow/ Black Leather, but couldn't find it. Even the Techno Violet was unique.

That original 6 series is a thing of beauty. I just an article in bimmer mag (at the grocery store while the wife was shopping. Score) on an Alpina turbo 6 series from the 80s. It was gorgeous.

Reviving an old thread. Also got to see St.James Red during my second trip and they look nothing alike.

St.James Red is about as pure red as you can imagine. Think Swiss flag. Absolutely drop dead gorgeous on the ZCP E92 I saw it on.

Lipstick is what you'd get when you mix orange with light pink. Under the light conditions I saw it, it wasn't even what I'd call red. Interesting color for sure, but definitely not for me
