Tuning a higher mileage 335?
Well my car currently has 55k on it and im looking to start with bolt-ons. Dp,Intake, Tune and FMIC. I have regularly changed the oil and had all routine service down through BMW. My question is at nearly 60k what would u recommend checking out on the car. I dont want to stress the engine to much in risk of something failing. I plan on doing plugs and coils along with a fresh oil change and filter before the tune is installed next weekend.
Thanks in advance |

There is a lot of high mileage 335s with tunes and FBO. As long as your properly maintain your car everything will be OK. Plugs and coils are not a bad idea. If they were changed recently, i'd spent the money on something else.
what tune are you going with?

Im going with the JB4 my friend recently sold his car and is giving me a deal to good to pass up. BMS DCI, VRSF Downpipes and Im waiting on the 5inch fmic from them as well but being in Houston the 7inch is looking more appealing to me.

I have 120,000 miles and I'm tuned. I replaced a coilpack and had the HPFP recall done

Never too late to tune with these cars. 60K here and holding a butt-load of power.

upgrade it! Most of us are near that mileage with the 2007-2009 models. You shouldn't have any issues that aren't covered under a recall or through regular maintenance like plugs, and worse case, coils.

My car had 83k when I went FBO and tuned it. Only thing I've had to replace so far is one coil and I'm at 96k. I would recommend looking at carbon cleaning based on post I've seen on the forums.

This... Carbon Cleaning seemed to help me and make my car have less hesitation on WOT with my FBO 2007. Go for it.

I'm pretty sure Shiv's original Single Turbo car had like 70k on it when they started injecting that thing with horse steroids. Then they put like 10-15k+ hard miles on it. And it's still holding up quite well. Don't quote me though
