Pre-steps to take before dyno
Looking at getting my car dyno'd to see what kind of power my car makes (stock v. Stage 1 Drive v. Stage 1 Sport)...however this will be my first time...is there anything i need to do prior to going in. I will have already have my oil and filter changed as well as the walnut shell blasting procedure?
I know that i can mix 91 and 100 octane gas so that i can run Stage 1 Sport (i live in california so we have crappy gas)...however will that change my power output when running Stage 1 Drive with reg 91 gas? Any help will be appreciated |

If you have an AT, make sure the dyno operator knows how to properly perform the dyno with the kickdown switch.
Bring tool to take off engine cover to get access for rpm connection (If dyno doesn't connect via OBD). If using a Mustand Dyno, leave ego and high hopes at home. Running race gas on a map that doesn't require it may or many not give you a higher hp reading than normal. It will allow that tune to run its best possible. It depends on how conservative the tune is. If it's super conservative, then it won't affect it that much (like running race gas on stock tune). If it's not conservative, it may be higher than actually seen on the road.

Add 100 octane and compare sport vs. Aggressive. At the track, my car traps 100mph on sport and 105mph on aggressive. Huge power difference.
