Sucsessful 6FL swap in non iDrive, non BT cars

I have been searching and I have seen several people claim that they have retrofitted the 6FL option to their cars, most never offer any advice though. Also many if not all of these retrofitted cars also have other options such as Bluetooth already installed, giving them a factory installed MULF.

My question is, has anyone retrofitted Bluetooth and 6FL in a car that only has the 640 pre-wire option?

My car is a 2008 335i with the 640 option. I do not have a TCU or a MULF. I do however have extra wiring in the trunk and the mic in the roof. I know I can retrofit BT with simply a MULF2 and the BT antenna. That seems pretty easy in my situation, I think. But what about 6FL?

If someone has done both in a car like mine please chime in with advice.
