Talking Switching from an Evo IX to a 335i

So yeah I have always been a BMW guy. My family has two and I had a Mini Cooper S as my first car (Blue with blue/black interior). Then in 2007 I had the opportunity to drive an Evo and I loved it. I lived up north with snow and all at the time so AWD was key plus the speediness was awesome. Anyways, I didn't drive it all that much besides maybe 5 miles a day then on the weekends.

Now I am down south and I commute to work and I can't stand my IX anymore. Yeah it's pretty quick and all but the lack of cruise control and general lack of comfort got me searching.

Now I am coming back from the darkside and I am going to get german car for sure. 2003 Audi RS6, a 135i, or a 335i (E90 of course) coupe. I am leaning towards the 335i due to the pure sexiness and comfort without the sacrifice of speed.

Are the flash tunes as easy and amazing as they are made out to be. Reliability? Vishnu vs. Dinan vs. JB4?

Sorry if I am rambling but I am pretty damn excited. I will be pretty damn active once I get my new car though. Updates to come!

The various tunes are pretty much easy-install-then-forget-them. With ~80 HP, ~90 lb.ft. gains with no other mods (max).
That's something you can feel, trust me.

Im a new person to the field. Ive always big motor style power. Big engines, supercharged and such.

2 months back I purchased a E92 N54 Xdrive. 5 days ago installed the JB4, very quick, very easy. So cool you can adjust on the fly, add function to gauges like boost, temp, and so on. Lastly Tune 1 you can feel, tune 5 is a new car to me. I love it.

I wont say get the JB4 becuase I did. I will say get it becuase of these few simple reason. Once installed you can change the tune in seconds to accomidate your upgrades. It has a USB option for logging and further tuning. Terry will answer you emails in hours, even on a Saturday night, heck even at 1am 4th of July I was able to get a hold of him through email. That customer attention alone sold me. Lastly the 10 minutes it would take to change a tune with Cobb everytime you want to adjust, is only done once with the JB4 on install.

Good luck and hope to see your car intro soon.

IMHO the 335 was made for Atlanta's poor driving environment. I admittedly wimped out and got the BMW Power Performance Kit, and remain happy with it. Not too many good places to use the higher power from the other tunes around here, which really it soo bad. Nice to zoom down a ramp and merge onto a freeway more easily though!

Get the 335i for sure. Yes flash tunes are as great as people make them out to be. I was in your shoe on the fence about the whole tuning thing when I was debating whether to spend the money on a tune or not and wasn't sure if it was worth it. I finally coughed up the money for Cobb ap and cant tell you how much of a difference it makes the car feels smoother too.

So here's an update. I am buying a white 335xi Coupe. Mods that will be on the car for my driving are: DCI, PROcede Rev3, meth eventually. I will post pics etc once I pick it up in less than a week

Edit: It has coral interior....white/coral combo is the sex.

Vishnu and jb4 are similar as in they are piggy backs and Dinan is a flash tune via dealership. you should be familiar to Cobb which is also a flash tune.

and yes, tunes are as amazing as they are made out to be. It changes the entirely and makes it into a beast.
