Service to engine

Hi folks
Back again....

In Poland with my car and about to get them to service my car , any pointers on what to check out with a fully modded car?

I mainly want to get my cylinder head looked at , cleaned intakes ect , cylinder head health in overall checked out.

There are various sensors on this engine and some of them seem to have need of replacing , at least from reading in forums...

Engine has 80k km on it.

All help is appreciated

If you've been regularly maintaining the car (oil changes, spark plugs, ignition coils, oil filter replacements, etc), then it should be completely fine unless you've noticed something "out of the norm"

Maybe an intake valve cleaning since your mileage is in the area where it becomes "forum recommended" service

Since Im here in Poland where labor is way cheaper than Norway I was thinking I could do proper service on my cylinder head. I am no expert with bmw engines , turboes and such so I ask to get an idea of what to be aware of.

Car has been driven hard , I do have changed filters, oil and plugs on regular basis, but still I feel there could been done some service other than that. Maybe its paranoia, but rather safe than sorry.

Its 3 items I am worried about with this car and that is gearbox , turbos and cylinder head.

My personal biggest worry is the turbos , since they are the part that will cause fastest and biggest damage.

Gearbox I can get cheap here in Poland , and with labor that is not worrying me so much ,with cylinder head might be Im just worrying too much...

And I have still not put my ESS software in , for that I also want to have a healthy engine status.

So , replace whatever sensors in engine that is failing and thats it for now?

And wait for blue smoke before replacing turboes?

Gearbox change next time Im down here.

Sounds like a reasonable plan?

If any of the sensors are failing (brake pad sensors, VANOS, etc etc) obviously replace them as you go along.

Turbos: you can wait for Waste Gate Rattle or Blue Smoke (usually a tell-tale sign that the turbo seals are failing).

Gearbox: if you're AT, once the car starts holding gears too long or shift times are really laggy, you're good. An MT, the clutch should be the only thing getting replaced if you're shifting properly.

On my way down here I was flooring it most of the way , once in 4th or 5th it sounded like it slipped. It could be worn discs or failing valves.

I was thinking to replace the filter and put new oil in , and see from there on if I have any more problems with transmission.

Other than this , transmission can be little jumpy when going from N to D.

No sounds or anything like that.

Late update

I had a plan to deliver car to certain person for proper diagnostic of my car , so that I would know for certain what I need to service/replace of parts to have engine 100% healthy.

Prior to that another mechanic who is to just fix minor mechanical faults did a bummer , he was trying to be nice and deleted my engine faults with his tool.

Anyway , car have been running for a week now without any more engine light apearing. I hooked up my laptop with modded cable and latest INPA and downloaded engine history.

From that I can basicly only see some issues with a vanos valve or something that seem to fixed it self if possible.

Current faults show nothing but some O2 values to high but this will be fixed with ESS chip tune.

Any fault code gurus that have any thoughts on my engine history fault log ?

Engine wise now I consider having the vanos replaced if necessary and do the intake cleaning on cylinder head. And thats it.... I hope

Well from the codes you have vanos issues, boost leak and you o2 issue probably because of dps?
ess is a flash, not a chip tune .

Can you fill me in on the boost leak ? What is your guess for causing it?
