Hey Brian. So you had to make 6 holes in the original undertray for the self tappers to go through as the undertray extension has 6 holes already. Ill give it one more try, if it doesnt work out maybe Ill visit BMW body shop to install it for me.

You can do it. I found after having the bumper on and off it didn't seem to want to fit but a bit of jiggling sorted it.

I visited BMW Specialist - Darren Woods today and spoke to him about it and I am going to book a visit with him regarding the bumper installation. They charge £50 for 1h so I told him that I will take the SE bumper off for him and his job would be to fit the Sport one. He said thats 0.5h job so £25. He has got the experience so I am happy about it

Now I need to order the HB3 to HB4 adaptors from USA and Sport splitters.
Once I receive the adaptors and install the splitters I will book the visit with Darren Woods

Thanks for help everybody !

Mat.

Thanks

The M-Sport genuine ones cost 500 pounds :

I am not a fan of carbon fibre to be honest. My spoiler and mirror covers are in Sapphire Black so I will spray the splitters in the same colour. I will buy these :

Kind Regards,

See ya soon ...

BMW E90 pre-LCI SE front bumper swap to M-Sport

Hey all

Yesturday I visited the BMW Specialist Darren Wood in Bredbury
I have spoken to him previously about the SE to M-Sport front bumper conversion and told him that I have tried once myself to install and but the attempt was not successful. I asked for his opinion and he was very happy to help He said that the ventilation ducts need proper positioning and fit to the bumper's lower grills, otherwise it will just not fit. I asked about the price he would do the installation. He said it will take 1 hour so thats 50 pounds as we charge 50qd/1hr. I asked if its ok if I take the SE bumper off on the car park in front of the garage and prepare everything for him just to install the M-Sport one. He said thats not a problem and it would be half the time so just 25 pounds. The service was fantastic and so professional. The guys are very helpful and just a true pleasure to deal with. I can honestly recommend Darren Wood to anyone The installation took indeed 30 mins and I was so happy with the fit and look

Here is a video how to take the bumper off :

Very easy, took me 10 mins Also putting the SE bumper on takes around 10 mins

So here are a few photos taken quickly yesturday :

I just love the look of the front end at last !!! Transforms the car totally

Hope you guys like it too

Thank you everyone on the forum for help so much

PS. Any questions you may have regarding the swap, let me know, I will be happy to help

Regards,

Mat.
