That's right sub mate, I have got 37+ out of my M3 before and 57 out of my 335 before experimenting. It's sooooo fucking boring hence why I only ever tried once.

On mobile so prob miss a few questions here lol

Yes the family love meth map so its on all the time. I've tried all maps inc eco map8 and found no difference in mpg if you try for economy

To 320d driver bragging lolololol quite right. Have to say the 320d was the most common e9x to fly past me. On that note i've only spotted 2 335's!!!

I got over 500 before brimming and had some miles left. My obc is pretty accurate as ages ago i tweaked the calibration in the hidden menus. Oh and before someone ask i cant remember off hand how to do it but could look it up

As for pics. Now got 313's, drilled discs, black grill, but other than that its lemans blue with black grills so nothing dramatic from standard

As per Kerr on a decent family run i can get mid 30's but on average i get 30mpg. I dont live in the city which helps too

you're a legend chez.

I often do a 50 mile trip, rural flat A road onto M6, steady 65 in top with grandmother onboard, coasting, little braking, being overtaken by coaches and trucks, and still struggle to do 35mpg on that trip.

41? wtf?

At 60-65mph 40mpg is quite easy achieve if you stick on the cruise control, personally I find mpg targets the best way keep my self entertained on long M trips (without having to worry about speed camers/vans etc)...off on a little trip to see in the in-laws again this weekend going to see if I can beat my previous best (I'm far too unimportant to ever need to rush any where)

But at 60 on the mway, you're mixing it with the HGVs who can't see you properly and you're more likely to end up as a soft filling between two 40ton crushers.

Not worth 40mpg for me!

Safest speed, (statistically not my opinion), is the 90th percentile, i.e. going just faster than 90% of the road, whatever speed that may be, i.e overtaking 90% of the traffic.

The other thing I use to do in my old 1.1 Peug 106 was to get into the slip stream of a HGV, it would hardly use any fuel at all....I balance out my risk been crushed to death by promising myself never to get a motorbike

For some reason I just cannot stand M driving, my wife will happily sit in the outside lane all day long where as I'm the complete opposite. I just find myself getting bored on M ways regardless of speed so just take my time. My actual combined MPG is 20 at the moment, must be those scenic trips to the supermarket dragging down my average

BTW, how do you find the Hartage Antiroll bars? I've just had my front changed to a Ebiach one and the front end defiantly feels much sharper, the rear bar and M3 bushes are been done sometime next week, so cannot really go on scenic drives to get a feel of things till than .

I done trip to Lithuania and my mpg for 1300 miles one way was 38mpg. Normal driving.
Than when I was coming back without my family it was 28mpg but thru Germany I was getting only about 16mpg and even less. :

A pic from tonight on a road I knew would be good for mpg. WARNING don't look if driving a performance car like a bishop upsets you LOL

LOL no worries. Best pic I ever took of the car, last winter in Cairngorm. I liked the csl's but fancied a change. Not 100% sold on the 313's but will do for now. Some angles I hate them but others I like, weird!

PS it upset me too yaaaaaaaaawn!!
