Would there be room for this inside the ECU box?

I would like a wireless solution if anyone has a DIY on that. Not sure I like the through the door... behind the fender trick... effective... not elegant...

I read the thread on Vishnu's site. Posted the same question over there. Looks like it'll cost you $216 plus tax and shipping. So I have a few questions.
Ok... So how complex is it to get this thing powered? Where are you getting the power from on the Procede side? Where do you get the power from on the laptop side? I'm not real smart.. so a 4th grade level response is needed. Thanks.

Remote access to the PROcede is also something which should be shared >> So how complex is it to get this thing powered? Where are you getting the power from on the Procede side? I'm sure I'll find a switched DC +5V - DC +12V power source under the ECU cover. In worst case I'll share the power-source with the PROcede, as a 2nd choice ( I don't expect to have to do it ). It's not a must that the SD100 has to be rebooted. >> Where do you get the power from on the laptop side? I get it from a free USB interface. The cable is delivered with the SD100's. If you don't have a free one, use the external keyboard connector. I will do a DIY. My CC has been charged with the balance for the PROcede on April, 11th 2007. I hope to get it soon. @all
You can relax. The SD100's are easily available. If you are interested you can lay back and wait until I'm finished and then decide. Don't expect problems where there are none. This little project is shortening the waiting time for my car ... and the result will be fancy Cheers Eugen Last edited by e.n335; 04-16-2007 at 03:01 PM.. |

Thanks Eugen... I'll be installing the Procede tomorrow evening. It'll have the latest map v1.4. So no hurry.

https://serialio.com//store/product_...6ecc37be9ddaa7 You should be able to tap the same fuse for +12VDC to power it...? Guess it would be on all the time, but so is the Procede, right?
