How does one get onto a list where you get this kind of invite?!

No idea. Took me completely by surprise. All it said on the bottom of the letter was that my details had been passed to them by a 3rd party and I could choose to be removed from their mailing list. I've never visited a Porsche dealership, or sent for a brochure. However I've participated in automotive market research in the past and my car has been repaired at an authorised BMW and Porsche bodyshop.

I read somewhere on another forum that the insurance excess on the test drive is somewhat extortionate like £1000's. Only a problem if you prang it of course
