What are these boxes under the car?

I'm looking at the eisenmann exhaust system and was wondering what these boxes were. Anyway you can remove them? I know that non 335 has it further out to the side but what exactly are these? I was planning on trying to fit the 3D design rear diffuser on but these would only get in the way if I were to go quad.

I think underneath the car, everything was designed there for a purpose. It could play into aerodynamics. Why would you want to start messing with that? I cant imagine those weigh anything so youre not saving anything by removing them. Just ignore it.

those black pieces are just covers. behind that plastic cover on the drivers side is where your carbon canister/dmtl pump, etc are. on the passenger side is the area where your battery sits..

Those function to reduce air drag behind the rear wheels. The Honda Civic VX was built as one of the most fuel efficient cars of its time and behind the rear wheels you could buy OEM bolt-in covers much like the ones pictured above.

I wasn't exactly talking about removing them but scoot it 2-3" over for clearance issues. But I got it on what is behind those.
