$97k is over the top for an auction purchase. If that was the hammer price, don't forget the buyer has to pay a buyers advantage fee which I think is 10% (not 100% sure but there is a fee on top). He will also have to pay stamp duty on that price to register the car. And the kicker - because he purchased the car from an auction, new car warranty is no longer valid.

Yeap, stamp duty will be a killer, but hey, its a M. Warranty is 100% valid, just because it goes through an auction does not cancel it. I've bought from there before and had warranty claims through Brisbane BMW without any issues. |
