Another 320d turbo problem?

Hi there, I have a 2005 55 plate 320d with around 34000 on the clock. Recently I've noticed a slight whine coming from the engine, that changes in pitch with the revs. It's quiet and intermittent, and seems to happen only on a warm engine. I've not noticed any smoking or power loss. Does this sound like another turbo on the way out? I'm presuming my car has the problematic Mitsubishi turbo?

You might want to inspect all the turbo pipes first for leaks or some holes before reaching for the wallet to replace the turbo.

I found a tiny hole in one of the hoses that caused similar noises.....while your there you can take a look at the turbo too.

Could also be picking up on a slight alternator whine and being paranoid knowing about the issues the mitsu turbo's have ..
