Car not boosting???
My car will not boost at all. I can hear the turbos spool up. I had a wreck last night and Im hoping that the hose is off my intercooler. Do you guys think that a leak would cause that. The car temps are fine and no leaks. I just hope the turbos didnt get damaged.

Looking at the pics in your post: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=747160
Either the cold side IC piping is damaged or got knocked loose. Doesn't look like the damage to the front is extensive enough to reach the IC, but there could be damage to the IC. Are you throwing any codes? I would definitely leave everything as is until your insurance has a chance to look at it. If you have to drive it take it easy or put you JB4 in NA mode. |

For sure! Looks like only a small part of the bottom fins were damaged. Obviously it isn't the best thing in the world, but I know a guy that had a stock intercooler that looked like that and he had no issues at all. IAT's were the same too.

This is true, but wouldn't that apply to the ends of the FMIC only? Curious.

Also unlikely that anything punctured, creased, or cracked the AL of the tube but, again, it's worth looking at. With the front bumper off, it's better to look now than wait till the car is all buttoned back up. |
