USB Flash Drive Power

Hey... when I have a USB Flash Drive plugged in, does it stay powered when the car is off/idle/parked? Just curious. I noticed that the LED in the dongle stayed lit. I was wondering if it goes out.

What about unplugging? Can I unplug the drive any time?

Power will be reomoved after about 90 senconds after the car is turned off.
