e90 centre aluminuim trim, scratched

Hi all,

Have noticed a smallish scratch on my glacier silver alu centre trim, does anyone know of a safe way to polish it out, without the need for replacing the trim?

Take it off and get it to a paint shop or Halfords for a colour match, quick rub down and respray it.
