bmw e92 key fob battery non ca battery replaced for $ 8
Hey guys I don't know if anybody did a DIY on replacing the battery on a non CA keyfob I did over the weekend becouse it was my last key I had and I didn't have much to loose.I'm gonna try to write it up for anybody looking to do this I bought the battery on amazon it a rechargable battery panasonic vl2020 its not to hard just soldering the 2 points of the new battery.so far its working fine. i did the same, since i ordered a new key, so i opened the keyfob (very difficult but luckily went well and you hardly see the cut) and i soldered the new battery VL2020 but tried to open the doors and nothing happened. i don't dare yet to put it in the slot, did i missed something?

mine is non idrive. is very difficult to put the wires wrong cause it only fits one way, i bought the battery from amazon, as i said, i didn't dare yet to put it in the dash slot but later today i'll do it

didn't worked for me, did all the process, opened the case, change the battery, then nothing, the car starts just fine but the keyfob won't open doors. Luckily I have my new key that works fine

I had the yellow warning light come on today - Battery in remote control discharged. I use this fob everyday! I don’t have CA. Hopefully after driving a good distance it will recharge itself, I purchased the fob last year to replaced one that was missing.

Great video for what? Comfort access has a battery and a battery door. This genius made a video to change the battery?
![]() This thread is in Regards to Non serviceable non comfort access remotes. Further more his whole video is meaningless to even e9X comfort access owners. We just swap the battery and continue. None of the nonsense he was having in his e60. |
