Diesel owners - DPF removal
Hi guys,
I'd like to do my part and help save the planet and get 55+MPG out of my 335D like the guys in the rest of the world get to. http://www.ecotune-scotland.co.uk/pr...moval_Solution I've contacted these fine gentlemen with no reply (as they won't ship to the US). I'll keep the cats and the UREA. But this ungodly restrictive filter has to go. I'd love to do an EGR removal but I'll save that for later... ANYONE know of a shop in the US that can disable the ECU codes? I have an exhaust guy that can fit the factory heatshield on a replacement pipe and make everything look 100% stock. I don't have time to figure out sensor resistors to trick it and I'm sure the friendly BMW techs wouldn't be overly impressed if I did. If not - any interest in a group buy? Could fly one of them over from Scotland or Germany if we get enough people to make it worth the cost. +10MPG would pay for itself in no time - not to mention the extra power waiting to be free'd up. Especially considering fuel prices are nearing $5/gal! Please let me know if there is anyone in the US doing this or if not, group buy time! |
