Yes, this would work with a 235 tire all around.

here is a 325 with sportlines and 8.5 et18 and 9.5 et20 in my opinion these aggressive offsets only look good if the fender touches the tire as in no wheelwell gap, if i got coils i think this would have looked perfect. but in theory your rears wheels would be a half inch in, it sounds like you will be fine best thing to do is put them on and measure for spacers if needed.

Going for 235/40/18 all round will work well. ET20 on the rear will be ok, but you can go a bit more agressive on the rear if you want to (ET12 would be about the max). No matter which offset you use it won't look like the pic above because your rear tires aren't as big. For me I'd probably tolerate a bit of a gap from the fender with the 235 rear tires, but thats just a personal preference.

woah... really? I thought ET20 would be aggressive as hell!
My other option is to go staggered 8.5F, 9.5R..(I love the look of fat tires in the back.. I feel as if going from 255 to 235 in the back would be a downgrade) Will the 235's in the back look smaller than the 255's or is the look pretty much dictated by the rim width? aka.. the 235s on 8.5 will look the same as the 255s on 8.5s i have on now.. but just a tiny bit more stretched? Thanks to all the help guys.. appreciated like crazy.. |

In many cases you can fit up to 275 on a rim with ET33 on pre-LCI sedan. Doing the sums it gives the same fender clearance as 235 with ET13. On thats basis ET20 is a trouble free fitment.
255s on a 8.5" rim has a really chucky look, whereas 235 should have a perfect shape just like the manufacturer intended. Visually its easy to see the difference, except the standard 255 Bridgestones aren't particularly wide compared to many other brands. Generally most brands of 235 on 8.5" will only have square sidewalls at the point where the tyre contacts the road. If you go for a track oriented tyre like Advan AD08, Dunlop star specs etc, then the sidewalls will be pretty square all around - just as though you had chosen a size 10mm wider. |

Personally I would go ET20 all around would not go lower then 245 , the 245 is the perfect size tire for an 8.5 rim and will look much better
There is more then ample room ( I run 265 in the back on 18x9 ET22) Your car is a sedan and will have more room in back here's my car in winter mode 17 X 8 ET35 front and ET20 Rear 225 all around Look at all the room left ![]() Same car summer mode 18 X 8 ET20 Fr 18X9 ET22 Rear 235/265 staggered (I would have preferred running 245/275 but 275 was too wide for the rear) ![]() Rear wheel ![]()

after doing my wheels and tires on my 325, if i were to do it over i would do very similar to what you are thinking. i would get a non deep dish 18x8.5 et20 245/40/18 and put a 12 or 10mm spacer in the back.
non related, i love those summer wheels jackb, i had those in 17 on my old 528, they were the reason i bought the car. didnt know they made them in 18, that was a good find. |

Hi. Not to produce clone topics will ask here. Just bought BMW 325 '07. Looking for 18 wheels and found nice set of Rial rims 8J front and 9J rear with ET20. Plan to use 225/40R18 on front and maybe something with 235 or 245 width on back. Will this config rub my fenders?

I'm bringing this bad boy back to life .
Can anyone tell me if the rear tires will rub on e90 in the folowing setup : et25 9j 255/35 18 . I have the wheels at et 35 and was wondering if I could fit a 10mm spacer in there without having to roll my fenders . cheers |

If it's a pre-LCI e90, I'd say ET25 won't rub.
