Question Half yellow Engine light CC-ID 29, no fault code

My 2009 335i sport package, which is fantastic, got a 1/2 yellow engine light yesterday- limp mode. Turbos blowing through wastegate. Fault clears on shutdown/startup but re appears when more than part throttle (calling for boost). On board computer indicates a CC-ID 29 which Bentley's says DME, engine fault, reduced power. Inexpensive scanner says no faults recorded. Car runs, but doesn't GO. Clearly no boost.

Taking to dealer next week, still under maintenance and warranty. Concerned that the dealer may struggle if there is no code.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

The dealer's diagnostics tools can see codes a standard obd2 scanner cannot see. It could be a bunch of things. I am sure your dealer had seen the issue as the the N55 motor has been on the road for a long time

2009 335i 1/2 yellow engine light

You are absolutely correct. The Technician determined the problem was leakage in the Turbo to Throttle Vale plumbing and replaced the right and left side Charge Air Line. The Intercooler was ok. All under Warranty! The car runs great. Thanks. Skip
