My Contact list don't show up

Anyone know how to get my phone and Idrive sync'd right?
I have a Samsung SCHa-950 phone and I tried sync'd it twice but my contact list never shows up, it's just empty, no contacts.

Any clue? Do I just have the old software?

Please advise.

I don't know. This phone is a bluetooth phone and when I make (via cell phone) or receive calls the Idrive picks it up and I can use use the idrive to talk.

How do I update firmware on the phone?

I have the same phone, and it is only partially compatible. It will send and receive calls, but will not upload the contact list.

Too bad the "Save Name" command doesn't work with i-drive. At least you could manually create a contact list then. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Exactly my problem. I guess I'll have to deal with it until my contract is over...sucks. No way around it I guess?

Same here - have to wait until Nov for my "new every two" (Verizon thing) to be up and get a new phone. From other threads, I have learned that "Save Name" works on 335's without iDrive, but not on ones with iDrive, and this is true whether you have a compatible phone or not. Why should that be? It makes no sense. Plus I have no iDrive manual to tell me what SHOULD work in the car. The dealer couldn't find an iDrive manual with ANY 3-series, so they gave me a 5-series manual which should be "close". It has "Save Name". How can they not have a manual for the most complex user interface in the car?

You can download the iDrive version from Owners Circle.

Call BMWNA and request the proper manual.

same problem here, with a Samsung phone as well. Thing that pisses me off is that my old PEBL worked fine, until I broke it

Thanks. I should have thought to recheck there. Last time I looked, there were no 335 manuals there, but there are now.

LEDZEP: I got an email over a month ago from BMW stating that they were sending me a manual, but it hasn't arrived yet.
