Yes, perfectly. You can use the supplied plastic flange or, as I advise, mount them on reverse mode, in order to gain some air volume inside the small enclosure.

For removing the seats in my 2010 335xi e90, I found that I needed a size T50 Torx driver to properly fit the screws.

What does "on reverse mode" mean?

If I were to guess, I would guess mounting the speaker "upside down".

An Alpine MRP-M450 could be perfect for those SWS-8: plenty of power in a parallel (2 ohms) configuration (200W RMS to each SWS-8) and small footprint.
Can you show me a wiring diagram on how I would connect the wires? Also, do I want the SWS-8X (4 Ohm) or the SWS-8Xi (2 Ohm)?

Thanks man!

Be sure to get the technic harness if you have an L7 system also get the spacers. Both make the job much easier. I did the upgrade over the weekend. Its well worth it.

Background
Hifi option in Belgium (= standard in U.S.)
Amp upgraded with DSP see previous post

Now to the sub upgrade

1- Seat removal (done in 5min) 4 torx and you're done, do not forget to unplug your battery or you will have trouble with the airbag etc... and need to get to dealer to get it reset. (thanks ebanul for the tip )

2- Now remove the sub cover the sub itself and the enclosure, again a few torx and done in 10min.

3- Here comes the fun !!
Left to right, the enclosure, original sub and the Pioneer

The depth of the sub is quite different, no need to say that the original enclosure will not match !

Indeed that does not fit as it should

See how the original sub fits ? nothing above the original enclosure, or the seat will not go back in place.

Use the original enclosure as a pattern.

Place the pattern received with the Pioneer. Mark the inside hole.

This is what you should get

Copy/Paste the piece you just have done, but this time mark the external pioneer hole.

This is what you should get

It fits the new subs quite ok but I'm not satisfied with the details but that's a first try. If it works as it should I will redo it better.

Time to see if it fits the car, ok for now

I need to place the sub and complete the enclosure but this is enough for one day... to be continued... grr, I so curious to hear it... tomorrow maybe...
Hi
I am really interested in your post about the under seat subwoofer conversion but I cannot see the pictures. Can you PM them to me.
