Hey NY/NJ Area - Looking to sell my 11" MacbookAir: I picked this machine up just after Thanksgiving last year to take with me on business trips, but changed jobs and no longer travel so the machine's just a spare now. Since I only took it on the road for a few months It was very lightly used, and is in excellent condition. I just checked the system stats and the battery only has 96 cycles on it. Anyway, here's the specs:

1.6 GHz Core i5
4GB RAM
128 GB SSD Drive
Pre-loaded with Mountain Lion and Microsoft Office
Covered by Applecare Extended Warranty until Nov 25th, 2014

Includes the box, charger, etc. Also comes with a black Acme Made sleeve.

The laptop went for $1199 new, plus $249 for the warranty. Asking $1000 for everything.

they seem to be selling in the 750 range on ebay

you have warranty so maybe 700 cash seems fair. remember, ebay takes 12% off the top between seller fees and paypal.

Ya man i know people on here are nuts. That offer is acceptable. I paid 480 for my last one. He wants to get almost as much as he paid.

The fees and nonsense are part of the reason I avoid eBay to sell things like this.. I'm not sure they're the defacto indicator of an item's worth, but sure I have seen similar machines going for $800ish without the warranty. Given this machine's mint, and carries AppleCare, I think it's worth a bit of a premium. I can concede the fact that a local cash sale is worth something, but then again the same goes for a buyer as well not having to buy something site unseen.

Last time I did the math, I paid a little over $1400 for the laptop, the case, and the warranty so I'm not sure that classifies my asking as almost as much as I paid. Besides, considering it's mint and hardly used, I didn't think my asking price was absolutely ridiculous. That said, given what they're selling for on eBay would I take less? Probably. But $600 is a little skinny in my opinion, regardless of the fact that you paid $480 for your last one.
