17" vs 18" 330D

I'm looking into a 330D with sports suspension.
I can specify with 18" of 17".
The roads are a bit rough around here and I think the 17" will be better overall.
Wife will use the car 80% of the time.

Any downside with the 17" compared to the 18" ???

This is a good idea, especially if the wife is not an aggressive driver. The 17" setup will have a softer ride and offer more pothole protection. Downsides would be cosmetic appearance and a bit slower steering response from the taller sidewall.
