Would it be Normal Q...

Would it be 'normal' that a E92 330i (2009) would take longer to get up to running temp than a F10 535i (2012)?

I have driven both recently, at similar speeds and the F10 seems to get the temp up faster, all I can assume is that the E92 is 'older' but only has 24k on the clock. Could the reason be a carbon build up starting to take place and would a "Terraclean" help?
