Put everything back together and while the brakes are noticeably quieter overall (doesn't squeal at low speeds - pulling off etc), but still does seem to begin to squeal if you allow the brakes to get warmer than normal, as in lots of normal to slightly harder braking.

I don't mind the occasional brake squeal, but the way it was the other day is just down right embarrassing and annoying!

Oh BTW, disks and pads are OEM...
I had my pads cleaned and greased but still get the squeal plus mine aren't OEM. So hoping OEM pads will solve the problem for me.

Not sure that OEM will completely solve the squealing problem as I still have this under certain conditions where the brakes are running a bit hotter than normal - it's the start of Summer here so this makes sense. And also, have only driven the car a few times since doing this, so need to see how it behaves as time goes on. But in general the anti-squeal paste is always worth doing - the impression I am getting is that our cars are just known to have noisy brakes at times.

As annoying as this is, I'd rather have this than ineffective brakes! Reminds me of the joke where the mechanic says to the customer, "sir, we could not fix your brakes, so we fitted a louder horn..."!

I have been using a brake squeal spray i picked up from Pepboys. Have to use it every 2 weeks but solving the problem for now.

Will see if it gets worse. Want to avoid spending on new pads if i can because I got new pads sometime back only.
