anyone with simota intake and Forge DVs

Im thinking of getting the simota cf intake , but not before I know it will stay clear from the Forge DVs.

Anyone?

I did a calculation on the Simota (Gruppe M replica) intake filter area and it's LESS than the stock filter area

By the way, the Gruppe M filter is K&N RF-1002 filter. Do the calculations and see for yourself. It's worse than stock.

Yeah, I had my worries there , but I would like to some upgrade , looks and performance.

They look nice these filters , and I was wondering if it could be an idea to buy it , modify it to house performance drop in filer and be happy. For the price they sell them at ebay I would consider it . The do a mod and have looks and performance.

The general quality of these simota thingys then , how they age?

Anyone got some data on the Simota intake ? The section where the filter goes , what is the dimensions of that surface. I plan on making a cut out there and glue back frame for drop in filter. Maybe someone with this intake could post some photos with dimensions on them? Oh please
