Then there's no point of having the DSP model. Mosconi Gladen 120.4 is just the same minus the DSP funtionality.

Thanks Mr. Singh. That is re-assuring.

I know somebody on this forum who is planning to add these amps in his car so awaiting for results.

I am interested in the Gladen offering (when it becomes available over here). I have a few questions though:

1. Mr Singh, why did you mention a 2CH harness? Wouldn't I need a 4CH one?
2. Do you have any installation instructions for the harness?
3. With a Gladen harness, would I need to make up 'pigtails' including OEM connectors for the new speakers?
4. Would the Mosconi 102.4 amp fit in the OEM position in an E91, i.e. in a bracket on the lh side of the boot, below where the first-aid kit and warning triangle are?
5. Would there be a big improvement by going for the DSP version of the amp? How does it compare, for example, with a JBL MS-8?

Cheers
Colin

Heard these today in MrSingh's E91. Very impressed with them, and the woofers play really low.

If you are powering the rear speakers via aftermarket amplifier you will require a 4CH harness, 2CH harness will power both front door speakers (mid/tweeter) The underseat subs will still require you to run your own cables from the sub terminals to your amp. Using a 4CH Amp you can select the input signal mode to 2CH that way you still have fading adjustability from the front to rear speakers via the HU controls

2. Do you have any installation instructions for the harness?
These do not come with the Harness, but there are plenty of guides on this forum on how to install. Just be prepared to battle in getting the stereo back in, Technics harness for myself proved to put up a dogged fight. The Quadlock harness from Gladen is a little longer so helps a little more.

3. With a Gladen harness, would I need to make up 'pigtails' including OEM connectors for the new speakers?
The speakers come complete with wiring and connectors to make for a seemless installation. If you do not have a tweeter are present the OEM plug is worth while purchasing as it makes it a little easier should you ever find yourself removing the trim. Not essential by any means.

4. Would the Mosconi 102.4 amp fit in the OEM position in an E91, i.e. in a bracket on the lh side of the boot, below where the first-aid kit and warning triangle are?
The Mosconi 120.4 amp will not fit in the location you have specified. It will fit under the boot trim to the right of the tool kit.

I haven't personally tried the DSP version yet, but the level of adjustment the MS-8 offers in that instance would be greater. That is not to say the functions on the 120.4 DSP are not adequate, you can have too much adjustability these days as I often see in many installs setup by rookies!

Cheers
Colin
Answers above in bold.
