I don't have it actually. Like the look but not sure if I want the Alcantara -- which I believe is more like a suede.

yea it is, when i get a new shifter its be the 3rd one. the top part of the shifter keeps wearing off. im gonna ask my sa to see if i can just pay the difference from the stock to this on. i dont want it to wear out when im out of warranty.

That's door edge trim which just slips over the edge to stay in place. You could use any type of rubber or silicone sealer to keep it in place if needed.
