hood chips
So I took a road trip and the hood got a little chipped up. Had it detailed and it looked great initially but the next day in the sunlight I saw what looked like ash, little tiny specs of it, all over my hood. It looks like the wax went in each chip and didnt buff out. I went over it a few times with a microfiber towel and they are just in there! How do I get this out!?! Please help!

Probably IsoPropyl Alcohol. Or maybe India Pale Ale. Apply the former, drink the latter. Either way, pulling the wax out of the hood chips won't fix them and using alcohol will just remove the wax around the chips too. You need to do a chip repair; several ways to do it, search on "paint chip repair" here for much reading material.

In order to mask the actual chips, you can use Dr ColorChip. |

Thank you guys! I will take it to my friends body shop and he will take care of it along with other minor scratches and door dings.
