Advice on wheel offsets needed
Right chaps,I need some advice please-preferably not "I would think or that sounds like" advice...
Anyway,I've ordered a 9.5 et40 wheel, but what was delivered, was a 9.5 et 38.This is for a pre lci E91. The wheel manufacturer says that they do not have an et40,but instead of contacting me,they sent me the wrong wheel(!). They say that this will not cause any issues, but will sit approx 2mm further out-possibly hardly noticeable. What are your thoughts re having an et 38 and an et40 on the rear with safety, handling and wear and tear etc etc... Thanks for your help |

If I am not wrong, pre-LCI rear can take
Front ET 33-35 Rear ET 27 So considering yours is ET38, you are far from any danger. As Raf sugggested, your wheels may benefit from spacers possibly 10mm at rears and 5mm at the front.

Cheers for the replies guys-very much appreciated.
Turns out after me calling the manufacturer, they did actually have an ET40 in stock,They are sending me a replacement via courier. Happy with the stance, but might change my wheel offsets in the future, given your replies. Having them all stripped and repainted,so I've just got to put my winters on and choose a new colour! |
