See how the height of my 2008 335xi is...
Hello,
Ok, so I have been disappointed from day 1 about the height of my xi. I do not regret its great capabilities mostly in the mountains of BC but I would have like the sales rep to point this "feature" to me before I signed the papers. So here some "official" measurements for you taken from my car which has 15,000km (9300mi). The car is a 335xi Coupe with BMW 17" wheels, no mods whatsoever. Measured from the top of the tires to the highest point of the wheel well: Front Left: 3.5" (8.9cm) Front Right: 3" (7.6cm) Rear Left: 2" (5cm) Rear Right: 2.5" (6.3cm) Let me tell you it look like s**t and totally kill the looks that this car could have. I will lower it soon as soon as I have some free time. I have been numerous times at the dealer and show them my car parked against other xi. Every single times I was told that the car was according to specs or that it would finish by settling lower (yeah, right)... Anyway, I have attached a picture so you get a better idea of what I am talking about. Seems like I have a very high 2008 xi and it is obviously higher than the 2009 version. Cheers. |

Why so much bickering guys?
All you need to do is call your local dealership or visit realoem.com and get the part numbers for the springs and shocks for both cars. If they are the same, end of story. If not, then it warrants additional followup. |
