18" Winter RFTs? Do they exist? BMW logo for wheels?
I'm unable to find 18" Winter RFTs for my E92 335i Coupe at tirerack.com.
I was thinking of using the same wheels in the winter... even if I decided to buy a new set of wheels, I'd prefer 18"s because they look better and I don't really deal with snow much at all (NJ and can work from home on snow days). What's the verdict on this? Do we have to get a set of 17" wheels for winter tires? On other question... Is it easy to buy and install BMW logos on non-BMW wheels to make them look like "BMW wheels". I'd rather not spend $2,000 on a set of BMW wheels when there are some nice out there for $600/set. Are BMW wheels just expensive or they're comparable in quality to other non-brand $500 wheels out there? |

Your best bet is to buy a set of sftermarket wheels and get BMW logos (they even have stickers). I would recommend 17" wheels as the RFTs will be more functional in the snow.
Check out this... http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...hlight=ASA+JH3 That setup was $1378.00 with delivery, balancing and TPMS installed (I have two sets). Bought from TireRack.

When ordering my 08 with sport, I asked the dealer about a winter setup.
I was offered 18-inchers with RFT performance Blizzaks -- but for $2,600 (including one year's storage and two installations). |
