Highest mileage 335 I've seen so far

226k... Not too shabby. Plenty of cars over 100k on cars.com

Makes me feel optimistic about longevity...

I feel so much better about the future longevity of my n52 after seeing how long this N54 has lasted!

i dont understand why anyone would think these cars wouldnt last more than 200k as long as its not like a full on track car. if you daily drive the car it should do 200k no problem.

tell you the truth i dont know many cars that wouldnt do 200k miles these days.

my 2007 is at 65k miles. I would be very happy if this lasted until 200k with $1500 a year on up keep cost.

I agree. Cars are more reliable nowadays than they were back then.

OP, it's crazy seeing cars that were once worth $45k plus, now devalued to nearly $10k.. lol. I mean, despite the mileage, these cars are loaded with nav, heated seats, yadda yadda.

As long as my car makes it to 150-160k, I will be as happy as a hog! I know the original turbos probably wont make it though. The 226k car must have been an all highway miles work car or something like that.

ha! it really is how you drive it.

i beat the ever loving piss out of my b7 a4, big turbo, suspension mods, etc, she lasted 162k miles before she had to go.

my buddy does sales for a pharmaceutics company, has 280k miles on his car with just a tune, coils, and catless pipes.

never beats on it, and spends 80% of his time on the highway. granted his had a few more carbon cleanings than mine did

When I posted this I just thought it would be a neat example for all those who question the n54's ability to hold up over the long term.

There seem to be a lot of mileage threads (how many miles do you have?, etc.) about mileage concerns and the cars not lasting. I thought this one might shut some people up about ditching these cars as soon as they're off warranty (hear that one a lot too). I plan to keep my car until 100k+ miles.

That said, I wouldn't pay $10k for a 335 with 226k on the clock.

85k runs like a champ! Even the valves were fairly clean when I did them 2 weeks ago!
