Does anyone notice this? (335 coupe)
I have a stock 335 coupe.
Does anyone feel that the front is sitting kind of tall and awkward? There's a rather large gap between the front tires and the front fenders; I'm only talking about the front, the back looks perfectly fine. Is there anyway I can lower the front just a little without lowering the back at all? Someone enlighten me please. Thanks guys. |

tein as well as other companys make adjustable coilovers for E9X that way you can get your car to sit exactly how you want it to

Yes! I've noticed the same thing. It's funny from certain angles or inclines you can notice it more. Try the eibach pro kit, it should lower the front a bit and leave the back similar to the existing sport suspension gap.

There is an almost perfect 50/50 weight distribution, so no, there is not more weight in the front if you have a briefcase in the trunk. The front will carry more weight during hard braking though.

He's talking about the fender opening not weight distribution. I'm guessing they close up the rear fender opening for aerodynamics since those wheels don't turn but, it does look weird. A lot of cars look that way now a days.
My Evo was the same way. I originally put on a set of Tein springs to "fix" it. I did notice a big increase in wind noise though. Most likely from the change in angle of attack of the body. Along with the added drawback ofscraping the front bumper over everything. It looked good though. |

FYI ... if you lower just the front of the car it WILL mess up the weight distribution ...the car should come semi corner balanced from the factory, by lowering the front and not the rear it actually shifts weight fwd. To see what Im talking about in detail google "corner balancing" and you'll see what I mean.
One other thing to note is that unless you track on the street you will not notice it much if at all. |
