I cannot get the damn light fixture to come all the way down. I pry it down and it comes down about an inch but it's still being held up by something and I've tried around every single edge and cannot get it to come down further! Any thoughts? I'm prying around the rectangle that includes the BMW Assist button and so forth, should I be just doing the frosted glass part (I did try that and I can't seem to separate it from the larger fixture)? I have an E93.

Why don't you wire it to the fuse box? It's much safer and easier.

I'm a electronics novice, I did the V1 up there on my E46 so I feel quite confident that once I can get the light fixture down I'll be fine. Going to the fusebox is more than I feel like I can handle.
By the way, the Equalizer was one of my favorite shows, a true classic.

The fuse box is much easier than you think. If you open your glove box you will see two plastic thumb screws hold the fuse box cover on. Take that off and you are there. There are great instructions on another posting. I'll try to get you the link.

I had 2 close calls with the cops in the past week.
I'm getting a V1 next week and soon will be doing the hard wire mod.
