Question about Boost Target codes

I know this is sort of an elementary question and I am prettty sure I know this answer, but I was hoping some knowledgable people could chime in.

Scenario:
One, or both of the turbos on the 335 are not functioning to full potential (putting out a pound less boost then they are supposed too, give, or take), yet they exhibit no other symptoms. The car is fully stock and there are no other issues.

Will the engine throw a code and give me an engine malfunction light?

Anybody know?

Of course, it will. However, it will be very unlikely to see such a problem at a stock car thus the real boost targets are lower. With piggybacks the ECU only thinks that they are lower. Same functionality.

Cheers

When you say the real boost targets are lower, are you saying that they are lower than my actual boost, or will I throw a code if I exceed the boost target.

Because. In a stock car the ECU sees the real boost. With a piggyback the ECU sees lower boost. Simplified.

English is not my primary language.

thanks

I would like to know how much the boost can vary from the boost target before it throws a code. .5lb, .02lb, .001lb?

Somewhere Shiv mentioned that the LBT maps produce 0.25 psi less boost. I am not sure if this is still current but this is the only number I am aware about. Everything else would be speculation. When I have a look at the datalogs I see different numbers. But, as said, speculation and I don't comment on this .
