diy for plastidip? really? lol

Here is a quick DIY

1) go to homedepot and buy a can of Plasti-Dip (or order it online)
2) use painters tape outlining the area you want to plasti-dip
3) make sure surface is clean and dry (alot of overspray will occur but its plastidip, comes right off if not many layers)
4) shake plastidip thoroughly and spray 8-10 inches away from surface
5) spray evenly and do not stay in 1 spot for 2-3 seconds, work your way from left to right or right to left and make sure you get all of the areas.
6) repeat step 5 for 5-6 layers.
7)YOUR DONE! ENJOY THE NEW LOOK
P.S. Make sure it's a nice day out as Plasti-Dip drys quicker in heat and sun but in cloudy/cold/rainy/snowy days, the spray also might drip!

Not bad since the only other alternative is a grand for a new bumper.

Nice, although I paint it a bit narrower.

Thanks. I thought about that but wanted to follow the lines of the bumper instead

License plate sensor? I've never seen that before, pretty neat.

It surprisingly works very well and you have a clean bumper with no PDC holes.

i think it looks just fine -- i dont mind the stock bumper too much but then again mine is flat black. the contrast on the white is great. i have thought about changing my bumper etc but not sure it would really make much visual difference.

love to see another local and a diesel owner no less! im in your area all the time - if you guys end up doing something... hopefully in better weather though so i can at least get my summer wheels back on.

as far as the retrofit sensor -- does it integrate with idrive at all? i might put in a rear camera instead...

Thanks for the compliment!

Well, my friend (psmitty95) is hosting a meet at Birdies Car Wash in Rye, NY. Give a shout out to him for details. I'm at school now, so I wont be able to make it.

The sensor does not integrate with drive. It has an external speaker that you run from the trunk up to the rear headliner. I never liked the PDC holes, especially on AW. This definitely this does the trick
